Comoros
Comoros, located in Southern Africa, is officially known as the Union of the Comoros and it is an island nation. It is the 3rd smallest African country in terms of area. It is a member of the World Bank along with several other international organizations. Most of the population is engaged in agriculture. Agriculture products of the country are vanilla, cloves, copra, coconuts, perfume essences, bananas and cassava (tapioca). Comoros stands as the 2nd largest producer of vanilla in the world. Main industries of the country are tourism, perfume distillation, textiles, furniture, jewelry, construction materials and soft drinks. |
